Fifth Grade Teachers

Mr. Matt Cook
Mr Cook

My name is Matthew Cook. For most of my life, I’ve lived in the rural areas of Harford County. Both of my parents, along with my grandparents, were teachers. I have carried on the tradition, making it my 6th year teaching in Baltimore County. I still live in Harford County with my wife, who is also a teacher, and two children. Our daughter’s name is Lexi (3 years old), and we just welcomed our son Logan to the family in June of 2016.

I love spending time with my family outdoors as I teach them all about my favorite hobby, Disc Golf. I enjoy reading and listening to audiobooks in the car, along with vacationing at the beach or camping in the woods. I try to live up to my last name by having a strong passion for cooking, as well.

Erin Hays

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Erin Hays.  I am so happy to be teaching at Warren Elementary School!  I have lived in Baltimore County my entire life and was a student in BCPS myself.  I began my professional teaching career with BCPS in 1999 after graduating with a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland, College Park.  In 2009, I received my Masters degree in Reading from Towson University.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time going to the beach with my wonderful husband and two fabulous children.  We also have a lot of fun playing with our golden retriever puppy at area playgrounds and parks.  In addition, I enjoy reading, going to the pool, and traveling to new places.
