5th Graders Taking the Marshmallow Challenge
I am excited to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful teaching staff. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4 – 8. This is a perfect opportunity to send a note letting your child’s teacher know how much your child has grown this year and how much you appreciate the teacher’s efforts. We can also celebrate Mrs. Nee and the TLC she provides each of us. National School Nurses Day is Wednesday, May 6th. Warren has such talented teachers and staff! Their hard work is very much appreciated!
Our 4th and 5th grade STEM Fair winners and our third grade Safe Racer team will represent Warren at the Countywide STEM Fair on the 8th and 9th at Parkville HS. Be sure to mark your calendars for the Music Concert on May 12th and the 2nd Grade Play on May 19th. In addition, many grade levels have field trips planned. So much is happening!
As the weather warms, please keep in mind these suggestions for appropriate attire. There should be NO FLIP-FLOP SANDALS. These present a safety issue on the playground and in the building. Tennis shoes are the most comfortable and safe shoe for children. Also, no midriff tops or halter tops with stomachs exposed. Please check the length of shorts, as many of the children have grown during the school year and their clothes may not fit as they did last year. Since our building is air conditioned, it can be quite chilly in the classrooms. More coverage is better than less coverage! Thank you for your help with this.
To all of our Warren “Moms”…whether you are a mother, grandmother, aunt, foster mother, other mother, or like a mother, HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY! Thanks for all you do to bring smiles to our children’s faces. You are special to all of us!!

Our School Day
Meet the Principal
As an educational leader it is my belief that we have the responsibility to provide engaging learning opportunities for students through collaboration and work that is focused on 21st century skills. These opportunities should prepare them to be globally competitive and college or work force ready. This is achieved by providing a rigorous comprehensive education program in order to meet the diverse needs of our student population. Students need to engage in purposeful knowledge work using technology as a tool to enhance their learning. As leaders students must respect the worth and dignity of every individual while feeling that their work is important.
I am starting my tenth year as an educational leader with Baltimore County Public Schools. It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to lead such a wonderful group of faculty and staff. A staff that is dedicated to designing engaging, learner-centered lessons for all students while maintaining an environment where all students feel respected and safe.
Warren Elementary is a collaborative learning community where life-long learners and responsible leaders are enriched through supportive, caring relationships and authentic challenging experiences. Parents and community members are critical partners in our journey of educating the leaders tomorrow. We must commit to being responsible for supporting children in successfully accomplishing their dreams and aspirations. Always consider what is best for children based upon their uniqueness, personality, and learning style. I look forward to working with students, staff, parents and community members as we work toward the common goal of increasing student achievement.
Meet the Assistant Principal
At Warren, we are committed to providing a quality education that develops the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable all students to reach their maximum potential. Students are capable of achieving great things and the group of dedicated and skilled professionals at Warren will ensure students are receiving differentiated and rigorous instruction.
We are beginning our second year of focusing on student leaders at Warren. Using Stephen Covey's Seven Habit of Highly Effective People, Warren has been constructing leadership habits in our young scholars.
Communication is vital for student and school success. We encourage parents and guardians to contact teachers, administrators, or school counselor if they have any questions, comments or concerns. Working as partners, we can provide the very best learning environment for our children.
Warren’s Code of Conduct
Warren's values program plays an extremely important role in the school's efforts to help students develop into responsible adults. Students are encouraged to demonstrate academic achievement, maintain a record of excellent attendance/punctuality, and/or display a positive work ethic. Warren is continuing to implement and enforce a school-wide Code of Conduct that identifies the following standards for student behavior:
I am here to learn so:
I will be respectful.
I will be responsible.
I will be safe.
I will be prepared.
